Withdrawal Rules

The trainee may withdraw from the training program, provided that the consent of the education committee of the program, OMSB Executive Academic Committee (EAC), and sponsor (if applicable) has been obtained. Under normal circumstances, the trainee should continue his/her training during the process of obtaining consent to withdraw.  If he/she does not do so, then the trainee will be terminated from the program.

If the trainee who has withdrawn wishes to rejoin the training at OMSB, rejoining Policy of OMSB should be followed.

Withdrawal Policy

  1. If the trainee withdraws within the 1st 4 months of the training, then the program may replace the vacancy with a candidate from the waiting list.
  2. The trainee who withdraws within the 1st 4 months, he/she may leave once the withdrawal process is complete.
  3. The trainee is prohibited from applying to any OMSB training program for a period of one year starting from the active date of his/her withdrawal.

Withdrawal Application

How to Apply:

  1. The trainee submits a withdrawal form after obtaining approval from the sponsor (if applicable) to the Admission and Registration Section.
  2. The Admission and Registration Section processes the request and refers it to the education committee for their opinion.
  3. If the withdrawal process is still ongoing, following the education committee's involvement, then a referral must be made to the Performance and Wellness Section.
  4. The report generated by the Performance and Wellness Section is sent to the education committee for their final recommendation. A copy of the report is sent to the director of Training Affairs Department.
  5. Upon approval of the education committee and Executive Academic Committee (EAC), Admission and Registration Section processes the trainee's withdrawal.
  6. The trainee must continue training in OMSB until the cancellation of his/her Release Qarar.
  7. The trainee must complete the “Clearance Form” and any other requirements, and submit it to the Admission and Registration Section.
  8. The trainee must report to the Sponsor directly after leaving OMSB (if applicable).

Interruption Rules

The trainee may interrupt his/her training for a period of no longer than one block (28 days) on the occasion of death of spouse, parents, or children, or illness of the trainee, spouse, or children if needed after the approval of the education committee and the Executive President. In all cases, the trainee must submit supporting documents for any case of interruption.

If the trainee interrupts his/her training with a valid reason for a period of no longer than one block (28 days), the training period prior to the interruption will be counted provided that the trainee must compensate for the period of interruption with an equivalent period during his/her training program. Interruption is not allowed for more than twice throughout the whole training period.

How to Apply:

  1. The trainee submits an interruption request and supporting documents to the OMSB Admissions & Registration Section.
  2. The OMSB Admissions & Registration Section processes the request and refers it to the education committee for their opinion/resolution.
  3. If the interruption process is still ongoing, following the education committee's involvement, then a referral must be made to the Performance and Wellness Section.
  4. The report generated by the Performance and Wellness Section is sent to the education committee for their final recommendation. A copy of the report is sent to the director of Training Affairs Department.
  5. The education committee sends an official letter of approval to OMSB to process the trainee's interruption.
  6. The trainee must stay in the program until the interruption Qarar is made. 7.  The trainee must compensate for the period of interruption with an equivalent period during his/her training program.
